One of my favorite makeup looks is the soft eyes, bright (or dark) lips look. Maybe mainly because it’s an easy look to do and I’m lazy, but also because it looks so good and works for any occasion and any style! This lipstick looks darker irl.

I got a No7 Luxe in a Box Glamorous Nudes gift set for Christmas last year, and haven’t gotten around to testing it until now! I actually love testing new makeup and makeup looks, but the past year I’ve only really worn makeup when going out, and when you go out you like to know that your makeup is going to look nice and hold the entire time. But lately I’ve found the time to play and test some products and this set is one of those.
Eye shadow palette: I could tell by looking at the products and colors that this would be a very natural look on me. There were actually instructions in form of a step by step guide on the cover of this box on how to use the products and I decided to follow these. Except for step 2 which told me to use one of the two first colors of the palette all over my eyelid up to my brow bone. Those two colors are too light for me, but I did use the first color as a highlighter and it was awesome for that. The eye shadows aren’t that pigmented. All the colors have shimmer in them.
Blush and brush: I thought that the blush would be way too light for me, but it gives a nice, moderate glow. I kinda like it! It is much more natural than the blushes that I am used to. And I don’t have that many matte blushes so this one is welcome in my makeup collections. The blush feels soft.
Lipgloss: The lipgloss was very thick, but I don’t feel like that is negative. It kind of melts into your lips and it actually stays on longer than I expected. It is not that pigmented though so I used a nude lip liner underneath because my lips are very red naturally. My lips did look super luscious with this combo!
I liked the overall look. It is more natural than what I am used to when I do my makeup, but it is perfect for everyday. To sum it up I like the lipgloss and blush, but the eye shadow palette is not pigmented enough on my olive skin. I loved one color for highlighting, but that’s not good enough from a palette.
The mascara that I normally use, Flawless Volumizing Mascara, is out of production for a while because they’re working on a new, better formula for it. So of course the day came were I had to realize that the one I have is too dry and old. I threw it away on Friday and tried on the Soap and Glory’s Thick & Fast High-Definition Collagen-Coat Mascara that I got for Christmas.
I am happy to say that this mascara will do for now! It is a little tricky to apply if you’re like me and want lots of coats without having to use a brush and comb through the lashes between each coat. I just never take the time, haha! So it got a little messy, but turned out nice and the mascara gives super length to my lashes.
Many years ago when I started blogging I loved to do lip art and post lip photos when I had new lipsticks or lipglosses. I got a new lipgloss for Christmas last year, but it took me a while until I tried it on. When I did I decided to take a few photos and maybe write a post about it here. But when looking at those photos I remembered why I stopped posting those lip photos a long time ago, and I waxed my upper lip a few days later for the first time in years. Words and comments can be so hurtful, especially when you’re young. I am glad that we grow up and learn all the awful truths about things that are taboo when we’re young. Things like periods, birth control and body – and facial hair. The truth’s that we all have it, we all need it and we all remove it. So before sharing a post about my new lipgloss I thought I’d share my hair removal routine with you.
I use the black head removal mask while epilating my legs and armpits, plucking my eyebrows and waxing my upper lip. I apply the Aloe Vera Gelly to soothe the skin wherever I’ve removed hair and as a moisturizing mask to calm the skin in my face. Removing my own body hair is seriously one of the most boring things I can do. I hope I’m not alone in feeling like this. It’s weird, but doing it for friends and costumers is so totally different than having to do it for myself. I loved it when we were in school and had to practice on each other, I didn’t have to remove my own hair for months ’cause my classmates did it for me. It’s been five or six years since I last owned a razor. Now I only use wax, an epilator and tweezers. Boring and painful, but what won’t we do to stay smooth. I go to a salon once a month for intimate hair removal though. That is too much pain to inflict on ones self so I let Olga at Studio Marichen inflict it on me instead. She is the best thought, I’ve been seeing her for years and can totally recommend her.
I’m glad that’s over for now! Only a month until next time.. The picture is taken before I started, and yes, I need to trim that side cut too.
Have a nice weekend!
Late post, but I wanted to show you guys our Halloween makeup and costumes!
I did a fun and easy makeup on him and me for a small gathering at home with close friends. We spent a lot of time considering before we agreed on these looks, and it turned out pretty cool! As you can hopefully tell we are a 1950’s style pop art couple. Desperate housewife and cheating husband. I always like making up stories for looks like this and the story here is that I had enough of his cheating so after finding lipstick on his collar I stabbed him in the chest. Then wiped my hands on my apron. I don’t know if you can see it on these photos, but I put lipstick on his neck and collar, fake blood on his chest and on my apron.
I didn’t take close ups of our finished looks, but at least here you have one ofmy makeup before I did my hair. Makeup is mostly Flawless by Sonya, but I used a Babor concealer for the spots. Lenses are from Superkul.
What was your Halloween look this year?
Summer feels so good, and it’s making me want to dress up more. On Saturday we decided to go clubbing and I brought out a new dress that I hadn’t worn before, did a full face makeup and fixed my hair. Looking fabulous is such an amazing feeling, right girls? I know I’m right.
The dress was a Christmas gift from my little sister. I don’t know where it is from, but I’ll check later and edit it in here! The trench coat is from BikBok, shoes are from Bianco and the purse is Guess.
I am wearing Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate for my brows. Eye shadows are from the Too Faced Naked Eyes Palette (my favorite at the moment). All face makeup is Flawless by Sonya and the lip color is Peach.
Have a great summer day!
There has been a lot of photo shoot posts here lately so I thought I’d just add a regular post in here. I don’t really do photo shoots all the time, I just have a few sessions now and then (but my dream is to be working with it in the future). The past weeks I’ve had two shoots with two different photographers and with two other girls, Cikki and Siri. That is why there are so many awesome photos right now!
You’ve probably seen that the makeup I use for shoots are always Flawless by Sonya. This is the brand I use, distribute and love! Flawless by Sonya cosmetics are infused with the goodness of aloe, as well as the latest innovations that nature and science offer. The products are paraben-free, cruelty free and can be used on very sensitive skin.
The first product I tried was the Cream to Powder foundation. It has a creamy consistency when you apply it to your face and once it is on and set it gives a silky smooth feel to your skin. And it stays matte! This is why I completely fell in love with this product, and now Flawless by Sonya has taken over my entire makeup bag. Concealers, powders, blushes, lipsticks, you name it, it’s all Flawless in my collection!
I am going to write reviews here on some of the products I use, so stay tuned if you’re curious about this brand. All I know is I am in love and I want the world to know.
Have you tried Flawless by Sonya cosmetics?
Which makeup brand is your favorite?
Goth – Some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night.
For those of you who guessed goth was the style change look I re-created, you were right! I like that this look is so far off from how I usually do my makeup and from how I dress. We all have that darker side and I feel I get to show mine off in this look.
I actually feel that my eye makeup is not as dark as I would have wanted it to be in these photos, but I am still pleased with the finished look. I did all the makeup and styling myself, I love doing it. When I get an idea in my mind of how I want a look to be it is so much fun to put it together and to see the image I had in my mind come out in pictures.

What do you think of this look?
How would your darker side look like?
The day before I had a shoot with my best girls I actually did a shoot on my own. So I thought I’d share some photos from that one first! The photographer on this shoot was the talented Frogner Foto. He has such a big passion for photography and I can really feel that while I am in front of his lense. We did our first shoot together back in 2013 and now we took pretty similar pictures, improved versions you could say. I haven’t gotten all the photos back yet so that is why this post is a part one. I am very pleased with the results, as always, and excited to see the rest!Makeup by me with Flawless by Sonya | Photo by Frogner Foto
I am curious, what do you want to see more of on my blog?
